Elliot has had big ideas from an early age. With hopes of becoming an inventor he would create spaceships, tiny robots, wrist computers and anything else he could dream up, draw and build out of cardboard boxes and duct tape. Years later this interest grew into the idea of pursuing a career in engineering. Luckily, his passion for arts and a visit to the University of Cincinnati to see his sister studying design saved him from this grim fate. While exploring the DAAP building he was immediately drawn to the lively sketches and scrappy prototypes he saw around the Industrial Design studios and knew this career was meant for him. After applying to a slew of colleges he decided to pursue design at UC, in the same studios that inspired him to take this path.

During the last five years Elliot has had the privilege of living and working around the globe, interning at renowned consultancies such as Priority Designs, Ecco Design, and Lunar's European branch in Munich. This professional experience has given him the chance to contribute to a range of work from clients and companies such as Bosch, Deutsche Telekom, Warrior, Fujitsu, Proctor & Gamble, Stryker, Melitta, and more. In addition he had the opportunity to study abroad at the Bergische Universit├Ąt Wuppertal in Northern Germany.

All of these experiences have cultivated a focus in consumer electronics, lifestyle products, and clever thinking. He enjoys the challenge that a diverse range of work brings and the ability to enter new projects with the opportunity for both execution and learning. He believes that this creates exciting experiences and fresh ideas that can improve products and the people's lives that use them. For his senior capstone, Elliot is exploring new formats to make the smart home more compelling and efficient.

After graduation Elliot is looking for permanent employment, learning opportunities, new experiences, and enthusiastic coworkers. Elliot loves meeting people, forging friendships, and (trying) to make people laugh, so don't hesitate to reach out!
